Santa's gifts

Landon asked daddy, where is Santa Clause? Daddy said, Finland!  Here are some lovely gifts Santa brought this year from his home

Dance shoe. I absolutely love this red felt shoe designed by a Korean and Finnish duo under the name 'Company' They are made by Huopaliike Lahtinen which also makes other really amazing felt shoes. I especially like the Aki Choklate collection.

A blue felt storage basket designed by Finnish designer Mika Tolvanen for Muuto . I am a big fan of this Danish brand, they picks the best new Nordic designers to create a modern scandinavian style.

And Muumi for the children.

Thank you Santa!

Merry Christmas

I just came back from the supermarket.  I think now Landon is older, and Nea is here, it is time for us to create our own family Christmas tradition. I am going to cook a Christmas meal this year, a bit ambitious,  I need some good luck :)

Merry Christmas from Nea, Landon, Yanyan and Antti

First Doll

I don't remember what my first doll looked like. I don't have any of my childhood toys kept as memory. Life in the 1970s China was different from today's China. My parents didn't have the luxury to be sentimental. Now we could, I made a doll for Nea last night, her first doll and her first Christmas gift.

Napa books

I was searching for some files in my desk tonight and saw this note book I bought many years ago from Napa books, an independent Finnish publisher located in the old street Antti used to live while we were dating. Thought to check if they have some new designs and now I really want this tray.

Lea

It has been quite a week, almost everyone in the house is sick, started from Landon, then daddy, then grandma, then I, then even our Nanny who never gets sick. I am still praying my Nea will not get sick this time. So when I received the pictures from Cara, it made my day.

This is Lea, Cara's beautiful daughter, she is wearing one of my dresses. She looks so gentle and sophisticated.  I love to see how my clothes look on the children. Their personality and own style gives new lives to my design.

Cara also designs children's clothing. We are all mums who got inspired by our children,  I love her etsy store, the grey fleece ducky dress is my new favorite, so cozy and pretty.

While waiting

I am waiting for Nea to wake up so I can nurse her and then go for a walk with her. But my girl is sleeping, soundly. I feel blessed to finally finally have a better sleeper. This family needs a good sleeper. Landon was not when he was a baby, still is not a good sleeper.

I surfed the web while waiting, saw this little store from Netherlands,  am going to order the key chain, I need a good key chain. I don't use iPhone, if I ever do, this cover is the best I have seen.

I think it is time to replace the big pumpkins thumbnail into something prettier.

Don't think it is the peony season now, saw them in Whole foods, had to get it for home. They are my favorite flower.

Landon got a cold, hope this time Nea won't catch it...

Have a nice weekend my friends.
