Paloma's nest
When people think about Texas, often cowboys came into mind. But Texas has so much more than cowboys. Especially for us, for one, Texas is where Antti and I met 12 years ago, when we were both exchange students. I am thinking order the 'Where we met' ornament from Paloma's nest to hang on this year's christmas tree. Her design is so pure and delicate. And those white ceramic egg - 'Whatever you are, be a good one', it makes me smile. Palmoa's nest is from Texas too, Austin, Texas.

One of those days
I have been having tough days, uninspiring days, tiring days lately. My 2 year old has been showing me the reality of 'terrible twos. I have been googling how to deal with tantrums and sharing the finding with my husband and discussing our strategies.
Today when I finally was able to make myself a cup of tea, when everybody was finally napping, no crying, no screaming, I was the one wanted to cry. I vented a bit on my facebook that I wanted to hide somewhere, a friend said I need a Spa. I was thinking, I need a shower.
I finally took the shower at 4.30pm and was told we need diapers. During my visit at the supermarket, I thought I need some dessert to treat myself, usually my quick fix was brownie and ice cream. I took a pack from the shelf and walked towards the diaper section, saw a skinnier mum looking fabulous in her skinny jeans. Damn the peer pressure, I left the brownie and took the diapers instead.
I bought a pair of mukluks from a street vendor, the main reason for my purchase is he told me those are hand knitted in Afghanistan. I saw similar pairs on Amazon.com. But mine are hand knitted in Afghanistan, they better be!

Icecream day
You know I am a fan of Maia's work. Like so much her new illustration, each of them has a story to tell, a story for you to imaging.
They are also available in her etsy store.
